"For" and "Against" Committees

If the voters of Spokane County Fire District 13 fail to pass Proposition No. 1 on August 6, 2024, the District, also called Newman Lake Fire & Rescue, will place before the voters on the November 5, 2024 ballot a proposition authorizing a restoration of the levy to $1.10 per $1000 assessed property value. The District is accepting names of people interested in participating in voter pamphlet statement "For" and "Against" Committees.

Registered voters in the SCFD13 Fire District who are interested in participating, please email finance@newmanlakefire.net by August 2, 2024.

The District will provide "For" and "Against" Committees with instructions, specifications, and deadlines. The deadline for appointing the committees is August 6, 2024. Statements written by the "For" and "Against" Committees must be submitted to the Spokane County Elections Department by 1:00 p.m. on August 13, 2024.
